TL;DR
Supply Chain Intern (Automotive): Supporting domestic and international suppliers, supply planning, master data management, and KPI reporting for North American automotive manufacturing with an accent on supplier delivery, capacity analysis, and raw-material availability. Focus on analyzing supply-chain data, maintaining planning standards, and coordinating with purchasing, operations, and supply-chain teams.

Location: Onsite in Plymouth, Michigan, United States. Full-time, 40 hours per week, from May 3, 2027 through August 12, 2027.

What you will do

  • Manage domestic and international suppliers supporting North American manufacturing.
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance and report supply-plan KPIs.
  • Support master data management adherence and regional standardization.
  • Attend demand and supply plan reviews and support capacity studies.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, supply chain execution, supply chain planning, and operations teams to maintain raw-material supply.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis while gaining hands-on experience in a central planning team.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a four-year B.S. degree in Supply Chain, Business, Management, or Finance.
  • Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week onsite.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, written communication, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and development teams in highly collaborative environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to connect business metrics with process outcomes and business cases.

Nice to have

  • Previous internship or co-op experience in an automotive-related position.
  • Experience with data gathering, business-process metrics, and KPI analysis in a manufacturing environment.
