What you will do

• Develop and maintain electrical and instrumentation deliverables, including one-line and three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, load lists, and motor elementary diagrams.
• Design power distribution systems, cable and raceway layouts, control panels, grounding and lightning protection, hazardous-area installations, and instrumentation details.
• Own drawing packages from development and checking through issue, revision control, field changes, and as-built incorporation.
• Coordinate electrical and instrumentation layouts with piping, structural, mechanical, HVAC, process, nuclear safety, and other engineering disciplines in 2D and 3D plant models.
• Perform field walkdowns, review vendor and contractor drawings, resolve RFIs and punch-list items, and support construction and commissioning.
• Provide technical direction, checking, and mentoring to junior designers and drafting contractors.

Requirements

• 5+ years of electrical or I&C design experience in power generation, process industries, or industrial facilities.
• Associate degree or technical diploma in electrical design, drafting, or engineering technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency with EPLAN Electric P8 or AVEVA Electrical, including complete checked drawing packages and database-driven deliverables.
• Hands-on experience with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, raceway layouts, control panels, and field wiring.
• Working knowledge of NEC requirements, hazardous-area wiring methods, grounding, shielding, signal segregation, and as-built documentation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, SmartPlant Electrical/Instrumentation, Bentley platforms, or 3D plant design tools.
• Experience with UL 508A control panels, medium-voltage distribution, generator connections, and utility interconnection drawings.
• Knowledge of IEEE 384, NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, IEC 62443, or NIST SP 800-82.
• ADDA, NICET, or equivalent drafting certification.
