Software Engineer II (Python)

What you will do

• Evaluate, scope, propose, and build platform features for threat detection and response, vulnerability management, and compliance automation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity researchers, software engineers, product managers, leadership, and architecture teams to define and deliver product capabilities.
• Advance platform technologies and architecture design to improve system maturity, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop secure APIs and enterprise application features for customer-facing cybersecurity products.
• Improve quality engineering processes and deliver reliable, high-quality software and services.
• Troubleshoot production environments while following secure systems architecture practices.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience and 1 year of Python programming experience.
• Experience contributing to system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Experience building APIs with REST, GraphQL, Django, or Flask.
• Experience developing in Linux environments and working with relational databases and ORMs, including PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy.
• Knowledge of test-driven development, CI/CD tooling, Agile methodologies, and asynchronous tasks or queues such as Celery, AMQP, MQTT, or Redis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native application development, and cloud technologies.
• Security software development best practices and distributed or enterprise-wide systems experience.
• Experience leading the delivery of complex software systems to customers.
• Experience communicating technical designs, product features, and strategy to users, technical teams, and senior management.
