Confluent - Senior Product Manager, Cluster Linking (Kafka)

Location: Remote within Canada; based in Markham, Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Ontario, or British Columbia. Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship. Some travel may be required.

What you will do

• Define the product direction for Confluent Cluster Linking across disaster recovery, migrations, data sharing, and cross-cloud replication.
• Launch and drive adoption of a one-click disaster recovery experience for Kafka workloads.
• Develop self-service migration paths to Confluent Cloud through product workflows and APIs.
• Define security models, networking, access controls, and scalability for cross-organization stream sharing.
• Shape product segmentation, packaging, pricing, positioning, and roadmap strategy.
• Partner with engineering, sales, solutions engineering, customers, and cross-functional teams to drive adoption and measurable results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; a master's degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with infrastructure, data platforms, cloud products, or other technical products.
• Strong interest in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure; prior Kafka experience is not required.
• Ability to influence engineering, sales, finance, leadership, and other stakeholders without formal authority.
• Experience with product strategy, market analysis, roadmaps, segmentation, packaging, pricing, and customer communication.
• Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship. Employment is restricted for certain foreign nationals on work permits from sanctioned countries and regions.

Nice to have

• LLM or generative AI knowledge.
• Experience coordinating design, product marketing, ecosystem partners, analysts, engineering, sales, and services teams.
