Finance Intern (Automotive)

Location: Plymouth, Michigan, United States; onsite 40 hours per week

What you will do

• Review engineering bills of materials and support cost development for new automotive programs.
• Participate in standard cost rolls, account reconciliations, invoice and expense reviews, forecasting, and recurring financial reporting.
• Monitor customer program financial performance, including sales, volume, pricing, manufacturing costs, profitability, and business-case results.
• Analyze variances, financial risks, opportunities, engineering changes, customer requests, and commercial open items.
• Prepare financial models, dashboards, management summaries, customer-facing analyses, and investment evaluations.
• Support quarterly forecasts, annual profit planning, warranty-report automation, and ad hoc financial studies.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a four-year bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Available to work onsite up to 40 hours per week during the summer internship program.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, attention to detail, and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Previous internship or co-op experience.
