Manager, Security Engineering (Cybersecurity)

Location: US Remote; candidates must be eligible to work in the United States for full-time employment.

Salary: $145,000–$181,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead, develop, mentor, and manage security engineers and individual contributors.
• Own the Security Engineering discipline and collaborate with Security Architecture, Security Operations, IAM, SRE, and IT.
• Implement and manage security tools including WAF, EDR, NGAV, and vulnerability scanning solutions.
• Oversee security tool uptime and improve detection, analysis, and response processes.
• Develop security engineering metrics, dashboards, KPIs, and performance goals.
• Research and investigate active and emerging threats and participate in regulator and auditor oversight activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership or management experience in information security.
• 8+ years of relevant information security experience.
• Security leadership and management experience with strong technical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• One or more cybersecurity certifications such as CEH, CISSP, GCIH, GSEC, GCIA, GMON, or OSCP.
• Experience with security device management, SIEM, incident management and response, threat management, reporting, dashboards, and documentation.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cyber-attacks, threat vectors, risk management, incident management, and industry practices such as CIS, CSA, and NIST.
• Experience with Splunk and other security tools.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment.
