Senior IT Project Manager (Fintech)

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom; hybrid and flexible working is available.

What you will do

• Lead complex regulatory and innovation projects from inception through completion, supporting the rollout of new product functionalities and components.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, milestones, and delivery forecasts.
• Manage project scope, risks, issues, quality, and mitigation strategies throughout the software project lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-divisional and cross-functional teams, including development teams, regional stakeholders, clients, and senior executives.
• Provide regular project status updates, identify roadblocks, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Review project budgets and Estimate to Complete values, conduct post-project evaluations, and mentor junior project managers and team members.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of project management experience delivering complex cross-functional projects at a senior level.
• Experience in SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and/or BPaaS environments and across international, diverse organizations.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile, and tools such as Microsoft Project and Jira.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, stakeholder management, problem-solving, decision-making, leadership, and team motivation skills.
• Experience managing complex programs across multiple teams throughout the software project lifecycle and discussing technical details with developers.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• German language skills.
• PMP certification or equivalent.
• Experience with RFI and RFP processes, vendor negotiation, contracting, hiring, and third-party management.
• Exposure to the financial services industry.
