WABC-TV (ABC7) Digital Intern (Spring 2027)

Location: New York, New York, United States; onsite internship from January 2027 through June 2027. Reliable transportation and own housing in the New York area are required.

Pay: $22.50 per hour

WABC-TV is a Disney/ABC-owned television station providing news and information through ABC7NY.com and related social platforms.

What you will do

• Assist the digital newsroom in producing news and information stories.
• Create original videos for digital platforms.
• Develop content for social media and engage the audience.
• Collaborate with the digital team while gaining newsroom experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience with non-linear video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Avid, or Final Cut Pro.
• Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or a similar program.
• Experience with photography or videography using DSLR or similar cameras.
• Previous experience in print, digital, or broadcast journalism, television, news, or new media production.
• Enrollment in an accredited college or university, with at least one class during application, and unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
• At least 18 years old and fully available for 24 hours per week from January through June 2027, including possible nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Undergraduate junior or senior standing.
