Export Control Officer (Space)

Location: Stevenage, United Kingdom; hybrid working with minimal travel within the UK and optional travel to Europe for the annual hirify.global Export Control Symposium.

What you will do

• Provide operational advice on national and international export control regulations, procedures, and sanctions.
• Develop and implement export control processes and procedures for space systems programmes.
• Deliver training to cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen compliance awareness.
• Maintain accurate, real-time export control records for internal and external audits and reporting.
• Work with a multidisciplinary export control function supporting multiple business lines and sites.

Requirements

• Experience and expertise in national and international export control and sanctions.
• Ability to communicate complex regulations effectively to diverse stakeholders.
• Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance.
• Initiative in addressing challenges and appropriate escalation to specialists when required.
• Collaborative approach and ability to build positive relationships across teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of US ITAR and EAR regulations.
• Knowledge of UK Military and Dual-use control lists.
• Familiarity with SPIRE and LITE for UK licence applications, PV gradings, and F680s.
• Experience or interest in space-sector export control.
