Staff Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; onsite at 1375 Crossman Ave

Annual salary: $143,000–$286,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Deliver platform capabilities, infrastructure, developer tooling, and machine learning frameworks aligned with roadmap priorities.
• Own the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Design scalable and resilient systems using cloud-native architecture, microservices, containers, automation, and software design patterns.
• Lead system design reviews and validate technical feasibility, quality, and architectural alignment.
• Build AI-driven applications by integrating machine learning components and automation features across multiple programming languages.
• Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, collaborate with stakeholders, and track outcomes through data-driven metrics.

Requirements

• Expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation.
• Strong proficiency in software design patterns, API design, and platform development.
• Experience with full software development lifecycle activities, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability.
• Ability to mentor and guide engineers and promote engineering excellence.
• Minimum qualification: a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 4 years of software engineering experience, or 6 years of software engineering experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
