Enterprise IAM Product Owner (Associate Director)

Location: Durham, NC, USA; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

Salary: $131,300–$316,700 annually, depending on U.S. pay zone and work location

What you will do

• Define and own the enterprise IAM vision, strategy, governance framework, operating model, and multi-year roadmap.
• Lead IGA, PAM, identity lifecycle management, RBAC, access certifications, least-privilege access, and segregation-of-duties initiatives.
• Develop governance, lifecycle, authentication, authorization, and monitoring controls for machine identities, service accounts, APIs, service principals, applications, and AI agents.
• Drive modern authentication, MFA, phishing-resistant passwordless authentication, adaptive access, Conditional Access, and device-trust capabilities.
• Integrate ITDR into the IAM roadmap and partner with cybersecurity, architecture, engineering, HR, AI, infrastructure, and application teams.
• Manage product roadmaps, backlogs, release plans, stakeholder research, resource allocation, KPIs, and Agile delivery.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in IAM, cybersecurity, and product management, including direct management and Product Owner leadership experience.
• Deep expertise in IGA, PAM, identity lifecycle management, RBAC, Zero Trust, identity security monitoring, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint, Delinea, and SAP Identity Authentication Service, including SSO, federation, provisioning, and lifecycle management.
• Experience securing workforce, privileged, machine, application, service, and other non-human identities in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience with MFA, passwordless and phishing-resistant authentication, FIDO2, passkeys, Windows Hello for Business, Microsoft Authenticator, certificate-based authentication, and Conditional Access.
• Knowledge of AI agent identity governance and relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, SC-100, or SC-300.
