MRI Technologist Full-time Evenings (MRI)

Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, IL, United States. On-site position with evening and on-call requirements, including recurring weekend coverage.

Salary: $38.31–$55.55 per hour

What you will do

• Provide MRI imaging services to patients in the Feinberg Pavilion and support inpatient care operations.
• Perform MRI safety screening, including implant and foreign-body evaluation, controlled-access procedures, and clearance before exposure to the magnetic field.
• Produce diagnostic-quality images, apply approved protocols, review image adequacy, and take corrective action when needed.
• Administer contrast when applicable, including screening, IV access, patient monitoring, and response to adverse events.
• Operate MRI equipment, maintain room readiness, identify equipment issues, and coordinate service follow-up.
• Coordinate exam flow, prioritize time-sensitive studies, and maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and Visage.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or American Registry of MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Availability for on-site work in Chicago, evening shifts, recurring weekend coverage, and an on-call rotation.
• Ability to follow MRI safety, infection prevention, quality, regulatory, and compliance standards.
