Senior Business Analyst (Data Focus)

What you will do

• Capture client business visions, objectives, constraints, and enterprise solution goals.
• Translate business needs into structured requirements and actionable inputs for delivery teams.
• Analyze current-state solutions, model target-state solutions, and identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Define and standardize business and solution requirements through elicitation, documentation, modeling, and prototyping.
• Develop business cases and participate in client workshops, discovery, and pre-sales activities.
• Collaborate with data engineers, BI specialists, analytics teams, delivery leads, and stakeholders to manage scope, priorities, communication, and requirements changes.

Requirements

• Extensive Business Analyst experience in IT environments, especially with enterprise-scale solutions and complex client landscapes.
• Knowledge of data warehouses, data lakes, data marts, basic data mapping, and cloud environments including GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• Ability to read, write, and validate SQL queries for data analysis and verification.
• Experience with Agile and Kanban delivery, requirements management, scope control, prioritization, and change management.
• Knowledge of business architecture, project and management fundamentals, and core business analysis techniques.
• Confident English communication skills required for collaboration with international teams and senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with data warehouse or data migration engagements.
• Experience with utilities or energy clients.
• Background in data engineering or data science.
• Experience supporting discovery, pre-sales, or business development.
• Certifications such as IIBA CBAP, PMI-PBA, OCUP 2, OCEB 2 Business Intermediate, or TOGAF Foundation.
