Lead Developer (Python)

Location: Remote; listed locations are Lima and Quito, with Peru specified as the country

What you will do

• Act as the primary technical contact for clients and guide teams through software consulting and delivery from ideation to production.
• Design solutions, select technologies, and make pragmatic trade-offs within client constraints.
• Lead and coach developers while remaining hands-on with coding, feature development, prototypes, and technical concepts.
• Champion clean, reusable code, test-driven development, pair programming, design patterns, and continuous delivery.
• Apply DevSecOps practices, infrastructure automation, and shift-left security to build and deploy software.
• Foster feedback, mentoring, inclusion, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.

Requirements

• Strong Python experience with React and FastAPI, plus modern object-oriented programming practices.
• Experience leading software development teams using Agile, Lean, and/or continuous integration.
• Knowledge of TDD, continuous integration, pairing, and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to influence others, translate business needs into software requirements, and execute a technical vision focused on business value.
• Experience mentoring less experienced developers and handling ambiguous technical challenges.
• Remote role associated with Lima and Quito; Peru is specified as the country.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Azure, Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Interest in functional programming, event-driven architecture, or platform engineering.
