Staff Product Manager, Compliance

Location: Hybrid near a hirify.global office or remote within the United States; preferred locations are San Francisco, New York, and Denver. Core business hours are required, and travel may be needed.

Salary: $211,370–$253,644 per year, with potential equity and discretionary bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Own the strategy and multi-year roadmap for compliance as a shared platform capability.
• Define data residency and sovereignty requirements covering where customer data lives and moves.
• Build customer-facing attestation and evidence capabilities for auditors and regulators.
• Specify governance, inspection, and configuration controls in the platform control plane.
• Track privacy, sovereignty, and emerging AI governance changes and convert them into product requirements.
• Align engineering, security, legal, and go-to-market stakeholders and drive complex decisions to closure.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product management or technical product leadership, preferably with infrastructure, platform, or security products.
• Working knowledge of data residency, data sovereignty, GDPR, CCPA, and emerging AI governance.
• Ability to translate laws, contractual terms, and audit requirements into precise product capabilities.
• Technical fluency in control planes, configuration models, and data movement through platforms.
• Experience leading cross-functional work without direct authority.
• Clear communication skills for detailed engineering discussions and strategic executive, customer, and go-to-market presentations.

Nice to have

• Experience with residency in systems that cache, replicate, or fail over.
• Experience building tamper-evident logs, immutable configuration history, or machine-readable attestations.
• Experience making product decisions before regulatory interpretations are settled.
• Background in finance, healthcare, public sector, PCI DSS, HIPAA, FedRAMP, or other regulated frameworks.
