Principal ATE Test Development Engineer (Semiconductor)

Expected base pay: $136,880–$205,000 per annum

What you will do

• Develop characterization, production, and wafer sort test programs on the Advantest 93K ATE platform.
• Design tester hardware for high-speed testing and develop new testing strategies when existing equipment capabilities are insufficient.
• Create detailed test plans, test methodologies, and documentation aligned with product specifications.
• Participate in testability reviews with DFT/DFM teams to improve yield and testing methodologies.
• Convert test patterns from design simulation environments into ATE formats.
• Optimize test flows, reduce test time, improve yield, and release production test programs in collaboration with product engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5–10 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 3–5 years of experience.
• At least 6 years of test program development experience on the Advantest 93K ATE tester platform.
• At least 4 years of experience with ATE testing, test methodology, silicon processes, DFT/DFM, and high-speed digital testing.
• Experience with C/C++, Perl, Python, and Linux.
• Effective communication, collaboration, teamwork, problem-solving, accountability, and multitasking skills.
