Display Stack Software Engineer (Embedded Linux/Android)

Salary: $120,000–$190,000 annual

What you will do

• Develop, debug, maintain, and integrate display software for Embedded Linux and Android platforms.
• Validate display software releases through functional, performance, reliability, and laboratory testing.
• Analyze logs, traces, driver interactions, and system behavior to perform defect triage and root-cause analysis.
• Implement display framework, driver, and system-service enhancements, including workarounds and permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with QA, system architects, platform developers, and hardware engineers on integration and release activities.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to architecture, planning, reviews, and development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, embedded systems, electronics engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 6 years of embedded software development experience.
• At least 4 years of hands-on C/C++ development experience.
• At least 3 years of Embedded Linux and/or Android platform development experience.
• Experience with display subsystem development, debugging, validation, and integration.
• Strong embedded architecture, troubleshooting, profiling, and system-level debugging skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Qualcomm SoCs, MIPI-DSI, HDMI, DisplayPort, eDP, OpenGL ES, or Vulkan.
• Experience with kernel-space and user-space drivers, automated testing, continuous integration, hardware bring-up, or BSP development.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
