What you will do

• Coordinate special events, community outreach, awareness campaigns, presentations, and implementation initiatives for the Texas Opioid Prevention for Students program.
• Support work plans, schedules, project controls, grant deliverables, milestone reporting, budget updates, and change management.
• Coordinate behavioral health service connections, including warm handoffs, telehealth navigation, referral pathways, and service logistics for students and families.
• Connect students and families with opioid prevention resources, overdose education, and appropriate community-based services.
• Maintain accurate and secure participant and program data while coordinating with project staff, vendors, health care providers, and community partners.
• Prepare training materials, operational documentation, reports, meeting summaries, conference abstracts, presentations, and dissemination materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of related experience in project coordination or administration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for working with students, families, educators, and community partners.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, virtual meeting platforms, and data tools such as Qualtrics and Monday.com.
• Clinical licensure is not required; familiarity with behavioral health terminology and referral pathways is helpful.

Nice to have

• Experience in behavioral health, substance use prevention, public health, or community outreach.
• Knowledge of evidence-informed prevention, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care frameworks.
• Experience coordinating community health events, outreach campaigns, health fairs, or training programs.
• Knowledge of school-based or youth-centered health services, telehealth platforms, referral protocols, naloxone access, and overdose education.
