Assistant Health & Safety Consultant (Graduate)

What you will do

• Support clients with legal and regulatory obligations under CDM, the Building Safety Act, and Building Regulations.
• Identify and mitigate risks across construction projects, maintenance activities, and property management.
• Conduct risk assessments and on-site safety audits, documenting hazards such as working at height, asbestos, and general site conditions.
• Prepare, review, and maintain health and safety documentation aligned with regulatory and best-practice standards.
• Collaborate with design and construction teams to embed safe practices into project planning and building design.
• Develop problem-solving, communication, time-management, and stakeholder-management skills.

Requirements

• Degree in a construction-related discipline, such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar field.
• Genuine interest in health and safety and a commitment to safe building practices.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including CDM.
• Internship, placement, or project experience in construction, property, or risk management.
