Sr Consultant, Risk Management

Location: Leeds, United Kingdom; hybrid work with in-person attendance at an assigned TU office for a minimum of two days per week

What you will do

• Advise stakeholders on identifying, assessing, documenting, and managing risk exposures.
• Support business-change initiatives by identifying risks and establishing appropriate governance and controls.
• Challenge risk owners and maintain risk metrics, reporting, corrective-action plans, and control-monitoring processes.
• Conduct risk-focused reviews of controls, governance arrangements, business activities, and functional areas.
• Prepare review documentation, governance papers, management information dashboards, and regulatory submissions.
• Maintain the UK Risk Management Framework and collaborate with Internal Audit, Compliance, Legal, Data Governance, and Risk teams.

Requirements

• Significant experience in risk management or a comparable function within an FCA-regulated firm.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience preparing governance papers, reports, review documentation, presentations, and committee materials.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to prepare and maintain accurate management information dashboards and supporting documentation.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the UK financial-services sector and Financial Conduct Authority regulation.
• Knowledge of data-management environments and opportunities for continual improvement.
• Understanding of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
• Knowledge of Credit Reference Agency data and related risk considerations.
• Experience improving risk oversight, control-monitoring methods, systems, or reporting processes.
