Operations Specialist (Gas Pipelines)

What you will do

• Operate and maintain pipelines, compressor stations, engines, turbines, pumps, valves, measurement equipment, and related process equipment.
• Install, repair, service, and maintain pipeline equipment, corrosion-control systems, storage well equipment, and facility infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair engines, turbines, pumps, seals, valves, and instruments; perform minor electrical maintenance.
• Oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities and train company, contractor, and visitor personnel as required.
• Perform DOT, state agency, EPA, USFS, safety, environmental, documentation, and operational compliance activities.
• Respond to callouts and emergencies, participate in safety initiatives, and support operating procedures and work plans.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of experience; job level is commensurate with experience and skill set.
• Basic computer and math skills, including familiarity with MS Office and company software.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the company and its insurers.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather, enter confined spaces, climb elevated platforms and ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to respond to after-hours callouts, work overtime, travel as required, pass a drug screen, and complete a background check.

Nice to have

• Experience reading blueprints, P&IDs, and other technical diagrams.
• Knowledge of safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids, and high- and low-pressure systems.
• Pipeline, compression, compressor engine, or pump maintenance experience.
