Staff Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; onsite home office

Annual salary: $143,000–$286,000, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Deliver scalable platform infrastructure, tooling, and machine learning frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Apply cloud-native architecture, microservices, containers, and automation to build resilient distributed systems.
• Lead system design reviews and contribute to API design, technical requirements, and success metrics.
• Build AI-driven applications with machine learning components and intelligent automation features.
• Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and drive continuous engineering improvement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices, containers, and automation.
• Experience with system design reviews, software design patterns, scalable and secure solutions, API design, prototyping, and DevOps.
• Experience integrating AI/ML components and building intelligent automation features.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions, define success metrics, provide technical leadership, and mentor engineers.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, software engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
