2027 Entry Level Field Tooling Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Desoto, Texas; onsite five days a week. Relocation is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $72,360–$108,540 per year.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for the safety, reliability, availability, and cost effectiveness of field tooling and specialty equipment.
• Support tooling design, inspection, certification, maintenance, repair, and deployment using established engineering standards.
• Provide dispositions for out-of-spec tooling and act as a technical liaison for supplier repairs.
• Establish tooling inspection standards and train inspection personnel.
• Help field personnel identify appropriate tooling and manage interchangeability across revisions and alternates.
• Use Lean 6 Sigma principles to improve quality and production processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field at the time of employment.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, resolve complex problems, and make sound technical decisions.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and complete assignments on time.

Nice to have

• Understanding of basic turbomachinery.
• Manufacturing or engineering internship experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, macros, and programming functions.
• Lean 6 Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt participation.
• Experience identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
