Principal Solutions Architect (AI/ML)

Location: McLean, VA, USA; must be on-site every Wednesday

Salary: up to USD 175,000 yearly

What you will do

• Lead innovative, compliant, and executable technical solutions for strategic federal and defense opportunities.
• Serve as the technical lead across capture, proposal, business development, operational, and engineering teams.
• Translate mission requirements into differentiated architectures, delivery strategies, and scalable operational solutions.
• Lead solutioning sessions, architecture reviews, and collaborative workshops with stakeholders.
• Develop reusable solution components, technical capabilities, service offerings, and technology roadmaps.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and communicate complex technical concepts to executives, customers, engineers, and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• On-site presence in McLean, VA every Wednesday; local candidates preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in solutions architecture, enterprise architecture, systems engineering, or related technical leadership.
• Experience leading technical solution development for large, complex federal pursuits and supporting federal agency or DoD environments.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise technologies, cloud ecosystems, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, data architectures, and emerging technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, systems engineering, data analytics, or a related technical discipline.

• Experience with cloud modernization, cybersecurity transformation, AI/ML, DevSecOps, and enterprise digital transformation.
• Experience supporting high-value federal growth organizations, strategic capture programs, and competitive proposal efforts.
• Advanced technical degree and experience advising executive leadership, customers, and growth teams.
