What you will do

• Assist with electrical installations for grid-connected and solar photovoltaic systems, inverters, and monitoring systems.
• Dig trenches, lay cables, install wireways and ancillary equipment, and complete conduit and cable work.
• Assist with installing luminaires, operating trenching equipment after training, and maintaining clean work areas.
• Support the master installation electrician and work with engineering to document system specifications, guidelines, and best practices.
• Identify process improvements, troubleshoot electrical issues, and share solar-system knowledge with colleagues, installers, and customers.
• Drive a company vehicle to installation sites and other work-related locations.

Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid South African driver’s license required.
• Experience in technical or electrical troubleshooting or the solar energy industry is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of electrical fundamentals, circuitry, and photovoltaic system components.
• Familiarity with solar panels, inverters, charge controllers, and batteries.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and initiative.
