Mechanical Engineer, Operations Engineering (Data Centers)

What you will do

• Design and develop HVAC, cooling, chilled-water, and thermal-management systems for data center operations.
• Optimize mechanical infrastructure for reliability, performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
• Plan capacity expansions with cross-functional engineering, IT, and facilities teams.
• Provide technical leadership for daily operations and resolve complex mechanical issues.
• Manage large-scale projects from design through installation and commissioning, including budgets, quality, and timelines.
• Coordinate vendors, suppliers, contractors, and engineering teams while ensuring regulatory and safety compliance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in data centers, facilities management, or critical infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Expertise in HVAC, cooling systems, chilled-water systems, and mechanical infrastructure in high-performance computing environments.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary projects, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
