TL;DR
Senior Data Scientist (AI/ML): Building scalable, production-ready predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions using Tech & Durable Point-of-Sale data with an accent on deep learning, extreme multilabel classification, and large language model fine-tuning. Focus on deploying GPU-optimized neural networks, integrating models into live production pipelines, and mentoring data science practitioners.

What you will do
- Build scalable, production-ready data science solutions using Tech & Durable Point-of-Sale data.
- Research and develop product-focused data science solutions for the Tech & Durable business.
- Build, fine-tune, and deploy neural networks for extreme multilabel classification problems.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, business stakeholders, MLEs, and SREs to deliver models in live production pipelines.
- Ensure code quality, documentation, and reproducibility across data science solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and working students and contribute to internal knowledge exchange.
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a data science role.
- Expertise in developing and optimizing deep learning algorithms on GPU infrastructure using PyTorch.
- Experience fine-tuning third-party large language models and shipping large-scale models to production.
- Strong Python, data visualization, presentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Professional working proficiency in English and ability to work in a hybrid setup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn and TensorFlow.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices including version control, testing, agile development, Scrum, or SAFe.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP and productionizing models through REST APIs, containerization, scalability, and performance optimization.
