HR Manager HQ (Aviation)

Location: Budapest, Hungary; the role supports headquarters operations in Budapest and Malta.

What you will do

• Oversee day-to-day HR operations for approximately 700 headquarters employees in Budapest and Malta.
• Lead the Payroll Manager and coordinate an outsourced HR administration provider.
• Govern employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, contracting, immigration, exits, redundancies, and terminations.
• Oversee accurate and compliant payroll delivery, employment administration, personal taxation, and social security matters.
• Define reporting structures, dashboards, KPIs, service standards, and harmonized HR processes.
• Manage vendors, monitor SLA performance, support HR projects, and advise senior leaders on complex employee matters.

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience, including at least 3 years delivering and managing HR services in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Employment Relations, or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.
• Experience with cross-functional HR projects, organizational change, process implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, payroll, personal taxation, and social security matters.
• Advanced Microsoft Office and HR systems proficiency, with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors.
• Proficiency in Hungarian or another European language.
• Experience working with legal, tax, or labor authorities.
