Secure by Design Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal. Flexible hybrid model with 8–10 in-office days per month.

What you will do

• Carry out technically oriented security assessments and define security requirements for new products, services, and changes requested by hirify.global partners.
• Participate in technical due diligence during mergers and acquisitions, assessing compliance and risk before transaction completion.
• Provide security design, architecture, and consultancy guidance across products, services, and infrastructure.
• Act as a cyber coach for agile projects and programmes, working with architects, designers, developers, and security teams.
• Scope and coordinate penetration testing before product launches.
• Advise customers, suppliers, and third parties on security standards, risks, and controls while managing external resources and coaching Security Champions.

Requirements

• University degree in Information Security or an equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information technology.
• Experience with agile ways of working and DevSecOps.
• Knowledge of securing cloud environments, web services, CI/CD pipelines, container security, connectivity, user access management, networks, and penetration testing.
• One or more relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, GIAC, TOGAF, or SABSA.
• Fluency in English required.
