US Summer Newsroom Intern (Journalism)

Location: New York, United States; minimum three days per week in the office. Applicants must be authorised to work in the US.

Salary: $22 per hour for 40 hours per week. Internship dates: June 7, 2027–August 13, 2027.

What you will do

• Pitch, report, and write original news stories.
• Conduct interviews and develop sources.
• Support senior correspondents with research, document analysis, and reporting.
• Curate newsletters and contribute to digital projects.
• Collaborate with staff on special projects in a multimedia newsroom.

Requirements

• Proven interest in journalism and some knowledge of financial journalism, business, economics, or related areas.
• Curiosity about global markets, companies, and economies.
• Ability to pitch and complete story ideas independently while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent research, analytical, communication, and writing skills across platforms.
• Sound news judgment and high ethical standards.
• Three writing samples or published clips, a resume, and a cover letter are required.
