Data Engineer (AI) (Python/Snowflake): Building the data foundation behind startup products and business decisions by consolidating operational sources into reliable Snowflake pipelines with an accent on data modeling, integrations, and agentic AI workflows. Focus on designing end-to-end ETL/ELT systems, translating ambiguous business questions into data solutions, and improving data quality, performance, and cost efficiency.
Location: Remote from Colombia/LATAM

What you will do
- Design, build, and own ETL/ELT pipelines that consolidate APIs, SaaS tools, CRMs, and transactional databases in Snowflake.
- Model data for reliable analytics and product use cases, with attention to performance and cost.
- Build and maintain integrations, selecting off-the-shelf connectors or custom code as appropriate.
- Work directly with product and business leaders to turn ambiguous questions into concrete data solutions.
- Use AI tools and agents to accelerate engineering work and automate manual workflows.
- Own solutions end to end, from identifying problems and proposing solutions to shipping and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Hands-on production data engineering experience using Python and SQL.
- Strong Snowflake experience, including data modeling, performance, and cost awareness.
- Experience integrating multiple data sources and orchestrating pipelines with Airflow, dbt, Fivetran, Airbyte, or similar tools.
- Experience building AI agents or LLM-powered workflows on top of company data.
- Impeccable spoken and written English required for daily work with a US team.
- Business and product sense, ownership, and comfort working in an early-stage, ambiguous environment.
Nice to have
- Startup or founder/co-founder experience.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, dbt tests, testing, and data quality checks.
- Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
