Senior Data Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid/onsite in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. Applicants must be US citizens or Green Card holders.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and streaming workloads.
• Implement data validation, integrity, reconciliation, and governance frameworks.
• Administer and optimize AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks data services.
• Build proof-of-concept solutions and improve data architecture, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Enable reporting and analytics through structured data models and Tableau-ready platforms.
• Own projects end-to-end, resolve complex data issues, collaborate with business and audit stakeholders, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• 10+ years of data engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills for complex data loading, automation, and production-grade pipelines.
• Experience with data warehousing, star schemas, slowly changing dimensions, OLTP modeling, and performance-oriented denormalization.
• Production experience with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, including JSON, MongoDB, and APIs.
• Experience with Airflow or Prefect, dbt, Talend, FiveTran, Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS data services.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Data Lake and Lakehouse technologies such as Delta Lake, Iceberg, or Hudi.
