Industrial Electrician - 2nd/3rd Shift - Decatur, IL

Location: Decatur, Illinois, United States. Onsite role with 2nd shift (2:30 PM–10:30 PM) and 3rd shift (10:30 PM–6:30 AM) options; employees may be reassigned to any shift or position as needed.

Salary: $35.81/hour starting pay, plus a $1.00/hour shift premium.

What you will do

• Build, install, and repair electrical and electronic circuits used on machine tools and plant equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions on machine tools and NC-controlled equipment.
• Troubleshoot and test electronic units, systems, motors, transformers, communication devices, and controllers.
• Calibrate and service electronic testing instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and electronic manufacturing systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S principles.

Requirements

• Completion of a related college degree, electrical apprenticeship, technical school, military training, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of electronics, electronic controls, and PLC logic.
• Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting ability with complex electrical and electronic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Strong communication skills.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen is required.
