Senior Clinical Research Scientist (Electrophysiology)

Location: Hybrid role based in Irvine, California, United States; office attendance is required 2–3 days per week.

Base pay: $92,000–$148,350 per year.

What you will do

• Develop scientific manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and podium presentations for peer-reviewed journals and cardiovascular and electrophysiology congresses.
• Create summaries, graphic abstracts, presentations, newsletters, webpages, and other evidence-dissemination materials for internal and external audiences.
• Analyze and interpret clinical data and communicate findings through structured tables and clear, compelling figures.
• Collaborate with Clinical, Biostatistics, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Health Economics and Market Access teams, and external physician authors.
• Coordinate document reviews, feedback incorporation, approvals, and timely submissions in line with ethical and company standards.
• Monitor scientific literature, therapy trends, competitors, and clinical evidence to support global teams and congress activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Physical Science, Nursing, Biological Science, or a closely related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of direct clinical publications experience in a medical industry or related setting; 6+ years of scientific writing experience is desired.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular and/or electrophysiology therapeutic areas, procedures, and terminology is preferred.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, Good Publication Practice, ICMJE Standards, clinical study design, and regulatory guidelines.
• Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate across time zones, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with publication management platforms and reference software.
• ISMPP CMPP™ or AMWA MWC® credentials.
• Industry or academic research experience in cardiovascular or electrophysiology settings.
