What you will do
- Explore, clean, and transform complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to business and operational problems.
- Work with data engineers, life scientists, and stakeholders to define analytical problems and requirements.
- Communicate findings through visualisations, presentations, and written recommendations.
- Support the deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of data science solutions.
- Progress from supporting existing projects to taking responsibility for an individual project after six months.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative subject.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Familiarity with supervised and unsupervised machine learning.
- Very strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work on-site in Cambridge, United Kingdom.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud-based computing environments, especially AWS.
- Software development experience using CI/CD principles and containerisation.
- Understanding of causal inference methods such as DAGs.
