What you will do

• Provide clinical and administrative leadership for the patient care step-down unit.
• Direct and supervise patient care while maintaining clinical knowledge and assessing staff competence.
• Coordinate staffing, schedules, vacation approvals, education time, schedule changes, and overtime.
• Lead quality and service improvement initiatives using benchmarks, best practices, targets, and performance metrics.
• Hire, onboard, coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff while addressing performance gaps.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, interdisciplinary departments, patients, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Licensed Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Specialty certification within one year of hire.
• Ability to support nursing administration, clinical supervision, quality improvement, and resource management.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or current enrollment in a master’s program.
