First Line Risk Analyst - Technology (Cybersecurity)

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; four days onsite at the Seneca One Buffalo location with the option to work from home one day per week.

Salary: $85,800–$143,000 annual USD

What you will do

• Conduct technology and cybersecurity risk analyses, identify control gaps, and recommend mitigation plans.
• Create risk management plans, assessments, standards, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Support compliance activities, internal and external audits, and regulatory engagements.
• Collaborate with Technology, Cybersecurity, leadership, and cross-functional partners when risks exceed the Bank’s risk appetite.
• Develop proactive improvements to risk analysis processes and provide guidance to newer analysts.
• Prepare regulatory materials and coordinate responses, evidence collection, and exam-management activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience, or 7 years of combined higher education and work experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in risk, audit, technology, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Proficient knowledge of technology and/or cybersecurity risk principles.
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with peers and leaders, work with limited direction, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work four days onsite in Buffalo, New York, with one work-from-home day per week.

Nice to have

• CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or another certification aligned with the function or domain.
• Experience gaining stakeholder buy-in and aligning teams on processes.
• Curiosity and the ability to apply new information to risk-management work.
