Senior Financial Navigating Specialist (Healthcare)

Location: Onsite at Thedacare Medical Center in New London, Wisconsin, with travel to Shawano two to three days per week. Candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $20.45–$22.50 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Guide patients through healthcare financial obligations from admission through post-discharge.
• Review benefits, calculate patient liability estimates, collect point-of-service payments, and facilitate payment arrangements.
• Respond to billing and account inquiries, resolve coverage and revenue cycle issues, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide face-to-face financial education, patient rounding, triage, and real-time issue resolution.
• Analyze recurring issues, prepare monthly operating reports, and identify financial process gaps.
• Collaborate with leadership, case management, social workers, customer service, and physician liaisons on workflow improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three to five years of experience in multiple revenue cycle areas is preferred.
• Knowledge of financial counseling, public benefits eligibility, billing, customer service, and revenue cycle processes.
• CRCR certification required within six months of hire.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and patient issue-resolution skills.
• Must be able to work onsite in New London, Wisconsin, travel to Shawano two to three days per week, and reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Prior customer service or hospital experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare management or administration.
