Automation Engineer 3 (Microsoft Power Platform)

Location: Office-based in Columbus, OH; preferred locations also include Cleveland, Akron, Cincinnati, and Detroit, with other Huntington office locations potentially available.

Salary: $70,000–$154,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, document, and support enterprise automation solutions across the full delivery lifecycle.
• Develop business process automations with Power Automate and custom business applications with Power Apps, including Canvas and Model-Driven apps.
• Create AI-powered chatbots and virtual agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio, integrating them with Dataverse, Azure services, APIs, custom connectors, and legacy applications.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, gather requirements, define scope, and translate needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, SQL, Azure or AWS services, and other enterprise systems.
• Provide production support through issue identification, root cause analysis, resolution, monitoring, documentation, and stakeholder or vendor communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of automation and AI development experience.
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and process-improvement skills.
• Experience working in agile and cross-functional environments.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Copilot Studio, including chatbot authoring, trigger phrases, topics, entities, and external data integrations.
• Understanding of application lifecycle management, security, governance, testing, and DevOps practices for Power Platform.

Nice to have

• Experience with Dataverse, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Azure Logic Apps, or Azure Functions.
• Familiarity with Power Fx, low-code expressions, custom connectors, and UX/UI design for apps and chatbot experiences.
• Basic scripting knowledge in JavaScript, PowerShell, or C#.
• Experience with AI Builder, Copilot integrations, or Azure OpenAI services.
• Microsoft certifications such as PL-100, PL-200, PL-400, or PL-900.
