Assistant Fire Consultant (Graduate)

What you will do

• Support the development of fire safety strategies and technical reports for new and existing buildings.
• Carry out fire engineering calculations covering means of escape, smoke control, and structural fire protection.
• Use computational tools such as CFD and evacuation modelling software.
• Contribute to fire risk assessments, audits, and site inspections.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, architects, and building control bodies.
• Monitor changes in fire safety legislation and technical standards and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.

Requirements

• Degree completed or in progress in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Services, or a related STEM discipline.
• Positive, proactive, and client-focused approach.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, share knowledge, and support colleagues.
• Strong willingness to learn and commitment to customer service excellence.
• Ability to work in Birmingham under a hybrid working arrangement.
