Software Developer (Java)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Analyze, troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance production systems supporting clearing and settlement.
• Design, implement, test, and deploy improvements for the next-generation Clearing System.
• Work across Java backend services, front-end interfaces, DevOps tooling, and cloud infrastructure.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, design reviews, and technical documentation.
• Support 24/7 availability through an on-call rotation and resolve incidents affecting critical clearing services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in Java backend development.
• Ability to understand and improve established production systems and large legacy codebases while maintaining stability.
• Structured, self-driven, and creative approach with a focus on operational excellence.
• Experience working in agile teams with strong collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Gradle, Git, GitLab, Jenkins, AWS, or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with clearing, settlement, trading, financial instruments, or corporate actions.
• Experience collaborating with global teams across cultural and geographic boundaries.
