AV Technician Degree Apprentice (Live Events)

Location: GB, Sussex, Crawley; workplace delivery takes place at live events and the Crawley warehouse, with travel required for on-site work.

What you will do

• Support technical event delivery, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for in-house and on-site systems.
• Assist with installing, commissioning, dismantling, packing, and accounting for cameras, display systems, media servers, audio equipment, communications systems, and networking infrastructure.
• Learn to operate live-show systems, including camera systems, switching systems, LED wall processors, communications, radio systems, and audio technology.
• Check in and check out rental stock, test and maintain equipment, and prepare systems for delivery to site.
• Work with warehouse staff, project managers, and on-site engineers while maintaining organised workspaces and following internal procedures.
• Support compliance with ISO standards covering health and safety, quality, sustainability, and environmental impact.

Requirements

• Must be over 18 years old.
• Must hold a current UK or equivalent passport.
• English and Maths qualification at grade C or above, or grade 4 or above.
• High attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel and work on site.
• Commitment to a two-year Audio-Visual Technician Level 5 degree apprenticeship, including at least six hours of coursework per week and two days per month at Crawley College.
