Senior Security AI Engineer (Azure)

Location: 100% remote; Rahway, New Jersey, United States. West Coast candidates are not preferred.

Salary: $177,900 annually.

What you will do

• Design and build production-grade AI-assisted security solutions, agent-style workflows, and decision services.
• Automate security operations across SecOps, cloud infrastructure, identity and access management, and application security.
• Develop integrations using APIs, services, and event-driven architectures.
• Determine when AI, automation, or traditional logic is appropriate for security problems.
• Collaborate with security engineers, platform engineers, and data scientists.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and reusable automation patterns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, systems engineering, or security automation.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying production security systems or automations.
• Strong experience with Azure AI/AI Foundry, Security Copilot, Copilot Studio, ADX, Sentinel, and Defender.
• Programming or scripting proficiency, preferably Python, plus experience with APIs and distributed systems.
• Practical keyboard-level problem solving is required during the technical evaluation.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in a related technical field.
• Experience designing AI-assisted workflows or agent-like systems.
• Background across multiple security domains, including SOC, cloud, IAM, and AppSec.
• Experience integrating enterprise security platforms and internal services.
• Experience with Google Vertex AI or AWS Bedrock.
