Infrastructure Engineering Professional (VMware Cloud Foundation)

Location: Ipswich, United Kingdom; on-site during working hours, Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week. DV Security Clearance is required, and candidates must have lived in the UK for at least 10 years to obtain clearance.

What you will do

• Architect, build, and operate next-generation private cloud platforms using VMware Cloud Foundation.
• Establish VMware Cloud Foundation as a standardized private cloud platform across the organization.
• Automate infrastructure delivery using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Resolve complex platform challenges across compute, storage, and networking.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end services.
• Improve platform security, resilience, performance, and operational efficiency at scale.

Requirements

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or VMware Cloud Foundation.
• Deep knowledge of VMware and enterprise virtualization environments.
• Strong understanding of compute, storage, and networking fundamentals.
• Proven automation and Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Skills in infrastructure architecture and design, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and IT security.
• DV Security Clearance is required; candidates must have lived in the UK for at least 10 years to obtain clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and identity management.
• Linux or Windows system administration experience.
• Experience with encryption and certificate management, including PKI and TLS/SSL.
