Senior IoT Systems & Service Architect (IoT)

Location: Based in Spain with regular on-site presence at the Barcelona HQ; a remote-first arrangement with periodic weeks on site may be possible. Hybrid work and travel for operator and vendor meetings, interoperability campaigns, and field trials are required.

Sateliot is a Barcelona-based satellite company providing standard cellular IoT connectivity from space through a satellite constellation that connects commercial devices directly from space.

What you will do

• Lead technical activities within Technology, Service, and Engineering for commercial launches and act as the technical reference for customers.
• Lead pre-launch network deployment studies covering terrestrial-satellite network selection, satellite ephemeris handling, device mobility profiles, and capacity limits.
• Support the integration of new use cases and services across engineering, product, customers, and terrestrial operator partners.
• Translate integration and deployment findings into product and service requirements.
• Report specification gaps from field deployments to 3GPP and GSMA standardisation teams.
• Shape Sateliot’s position in the operator and GSMA ecosystem, including roaming, network selection, and mobile-operator service interfaces.

Requirements

• Senior experience with IoT services and networks across product, market, and deployment stages.
• Experience taking a connectivity service from definition to real customers at scale.
• Working knowledge of the mobile operator and GSMA ecosystem, including roaming, service interfaces, and operator integration.
• Ability to own end-to-end network studies and communicate conclusions to engineers and senior management.
• Experience translating technical constraints into reliable business commitments.
• Based in Spain and willing to attend the Barcelona HQ regularly; willingness to travel is required.

Nice to have

• NB-IoT or LTE-M deployments at scale, and satellite IoT or NTN experience from 3GPP Release 17 onwards.
• Device certification and interoperability programmes in a multi-vendor ecosystem.
• Participation in 3GPP or GSMA activities.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering workflows.
