Graduate Electrical/Electronic Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Newport, United Kingdom; based at the Celtic Lakes facility. The role may include shift patterns to support cleanroom manufacturing.

What you will do

• Design electrical and electronic controls, interfaces, assemblies, enclosures, and wiring harnesses.
• Develop AC/DC power distribution, analogue, and digital circuits.
• Design critical safety circuits compliant with EN 13849.
• Investigate faults and solve complex electrical and electronic problems.
• Produce technical reports, engineering drawings, build guides, and test guides.
• Support CVD, PVD, or Etch product design teams and semiconductor manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Minimum BSc or BEng, or equivalent, with a 2:1 degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Logical, creative, and detail-oriented approach to solving complex technological problems.
• Ability to collect, filter, and analyse data to develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Prior experience is not required; full on-the-job training is provided through the graduate programme.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or previous study experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Familiarity with MS Office and MATLAB.
