Professional Services Correspondent

Location: London; hybrid work with onsite attendance required a minimum of three days per week.

What you will do

• Break high-profile stories about major professional services firms, covering business wins and losses, financial performance, strategy, AI adoption, workplace culture, regulation, leadership and M&A.
• Produce deeply reported analysis of changing professional services business models and their relationships with AI, technology and software companies.
• Report on consultants’ involvement in major corporate turnarounds and strategic overhauls.
• Investigate how AI is reshaping consulting, staffing models, enterprise software implementation and hourly billing.
• Work with professional services reporters and editors in London and New York, as well as colleagues across the newsroom.
• Contribute across different media, provide cover for team members and work weekend shifts on the newsroom rota.

Requirements

• Ability to deliver original reporting, high-profile scoops and inside-the-room insight.
• Strong writing and analytical skills for news and feature coverage.
• Interest in professional services, consulting, AI, technology, corporate strategy and regulation.
• Ability to collaborate with an international newsroom and contribute across media formats.
• Availability to work onsite in London at least three days per week.
• Availability for weekend shifts as part of the newsroom rota.
