Software Engineer II (Python)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid work with attendance at the Berlin campus 2 days per week. Relocation support for moving to Berlin is available.

What you will do

• Design, implement, deploy, and operate high-traffic services and APIs for product content quality.
• Manage the product-content lifecycle from ingestion and validation through enrichment and customer-facing exposure.
• Contribute to the architectural evolution of distributed Content Quality systems and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data teams to solve complex content-domain challenges.
• Monitor, debug, optimize, and scale production services while maintaining reliability and performance.
• Apply TDD, Continuous Delivery, Scrum, and constructive code reviews.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience building robust applications with Python.
• Experience with, or strong motivation to build, large-scale distributed systems handling high request volumes.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Hands-on exposure to AWS or GCP and configuration-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Helm.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, observability, distributed tracing, and relational and NoSQL databases.
• Collaborative, data-driven problem-solving skills with strong ownership and communication.

• Experience with Golang.
