Head Chef (Hospitality)

Location: Ye Olde Windsor Castle, Little Bookham, Surrey, United Kingdom; onsite role. Live-in accommodation is available in a room above the pub.

Salary: £32,000–£36,000 per year plus bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the kitchen team, set expectations and maintain high standards across every service.
• Manage food quality, consistency and presentation for the restaurant and pub trade.
• Coach, motivate and develop kitchen team members.
• Manage stock takes, ordering, rotation, wastage, food costs and GP.
• Plan and deliver regular service, wakes, buffets, walking groups and larger bookings.
• Work with the General Manager and wider management team to improve sales, standards and the food offer.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing a kitchen in a busy pub or similar hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, hygiene and health and safety.
• Hands-on leadership, people-management and communication skills.
• Experience with stock control, food costs, wastage and commercial kitchen management.
• Ability to organise services, manage larger bookings and remain calm during busy periods.
• Ability to work onsite in Little Bookham, Surrey, United Kingdom.
