Fund Controller (Real Estate) - 12m Contract

Location: Mayfair, London

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 per annum plus benefits

An established real estate investment fund managing Luxembourg-domiciled closed-ended real estate funds and related investment structures.

What you will do

• Control and oversee a portfolio of Luxembourg-domiciled closed-ended real estate funds and associated SPVs.
• Review fund accounting, NAVs, reporting packs, reconciliations, financial statements, capital calls, distributions, and fund-level allocations.
• Manage annual audits and liaise with administrators, AIFMs, depositaries, tax advisers, auditors, and other external providers.
• Monitor cash, liquidity, cash-flow forecasts, fund expenses, management fees, valuations, and fund performance reporting.
• Prepare financial analysis and commercial insight for senior finance and investment stakeholders, including investor reporting.
• Support fund governance, board reporting, acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, and improvements to financial controls and reporting efficiency.

Requirements

• Newly or recently ACA qualified at PwC, Deloitte, EY, or KPMG.
• Audit experience covering real estate investment funds, real estate private equity, or institutional real estate investment structures.
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, and audit experience.
• Commercial judgement, analytical ability, intellectual curiosity, and confidence communicating with senior finance and investment professionals.
• Immediately available or able to start at very short notice.

Nice to have

• Experience with Luxembourg fund structures.
• Interest in using Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, and other AI-enabled tools for analysis, reporting, automation, and workflow efficiency.
